BALTISTAN: NATIONALIST LEADER
chargedin sedition case FOR DEMANDING BASIC RIGHTS
GILGIT: A local court indicted the nationalist
leader and chairman of Gilgit Balitstan United movement, Manzoor Hussain
Parwana for activities and conspiracy. He was indicted due to his protest
against the injustice ad against the powerless government in GB. He is accused
according section 123a, 124a, 153a. He appeared in the court on 10th August
2015 along with his lawyer Ahsan Ali Adovcate and Jahangir Shah.
Mr. Parwana was indicted in the FIR Number
211/11.
He is accused for his demand to open the
Kargil-Skardu ancient trade route and for his help to meet the divided family across
the LoC. He demands that the people of the region have the right to rule and
govern the area according to the United National resolution on Kashmir.
He claims that Gilgit Baltistan is a disputed
territory and not the constitutional part of Pakistan, therefore the question
of treachery or trustiness is before time.
He said the use of state power against
helpless people is a kind or suppression and the violation of basic human
rights.
Mr. Parwana claims that the Pakistan
Government threatened him to kill him and he is indicted in fabricated cases
just to stop him for his struggle for the basic rights of the people of Gilgit
and Balitistan.
He said if his demand to open the Kargil –
Sakardu road is illegal, a treachery and the violation of the law, then the
members of the Gilgit Baltistan Assembly should also be indicted as they also
demanded the opening of Kargil – Sakardu Road and passed a resolution on the
floor of the house.
